ShopUW+ System updated March 18-20
ShopUW+ software system was updated March 18-20. Find more information regarding the system changes on the System Updates page.
Supplier Manager module set to go live in May
Final work on the Supplier Manager module for ShopUW+ is being completed for a May 9 launch date. The Supplier Manager module will move all supplier management processes from the Shared Financial System (SFS) into ShopUW+. The Supplier Manager module is for ShopUW+ users to manage supplier data with a more automated process and provide suppliers a self-service option to manage their own information. A resource page for ShopUW+ users and one for suppliers will be made available at go-live.
A new Jaggaer Supplier Portal will be available for all Suppliers to provide and update their own information in a secured environment to help expedite their transaction and payment processing. Suppliers will be able to manage their own data such as supplier contact information, payment addresses, and tax forms. Changes to ShopUW+ e-learning (Canvas) courses – coming soon
We are currently in the process of breaking down the course videos in the Shopper Skills, Requester Skills and Approver Skills courses that are posted in Canvas. This change will allow learners to navigate the course through small snippets of information rather than long videos and to return to review single topics more easily. Individuals who have already completed the courses will continue to be marked as complete but will be able to take advantage of the new posted content.
Updates will be made to the corresponding ShopUW+ Essentials page to more accurately reflect the content break down of these courses once the Canvas work has been completed.
ChemManager+ new branding for Research Material Management (RMM) module
The Research Material Management module has been branded “ChemManager+” for use across UW System. This module ties a robust chemical management system with an enhanced purchasing tool to support the work of research, instructional, safety and risk staff.
Deployment will begin with pilot departments at UW-Milwaukee and UW-Madison in August 2022, followed by wave 1 comprehensives (Green Bay, Oshkosh, River Falls, Stevens Point, Stout) through December 2022 and wave 2 comprehensives (Eau Claire, La Crosse, Parkside, Platteville, Superior, Whitewater) through January 2023. Full deployment work, including ongoing existing inventory data loading will continue throughout 2023.
P2P Project Phase 2 planning update
Saved Searches/Reports enhancements were launched February 25.
These major business functions are in the Design & Configuration Phase: Contracts+, Research Materials Management, Spend Analytics, and Sourcing. The Design & Configuration Phase is for the work team to refine business requirements.
Supplier Manager is in the final month of the Testing, Training, and Prepare for Deployment Phase and will go live May 9.

New ShopUW+ Resources page
ShowUW+ launched the new ShopUW+ Resources web page in February to replace the Quick Reference Guide. The Quick Reference Guides are no longer available. Your feedback helped us create a new, easier-to-use resource format that is more reliable to access, is easier to search, has information grouped by user role, and hosts full process instructions.
